some discussions worth noting on UUC
Ubuntu Users List is the mailing list where Ubuntu Users can post about their problems, discussions, ideas etc.
Now I had to add that the etc because from following discussions you can see the etc stretching too far.

I think it's a perfectly valid point, as people who run servers
configure these filters for their users to abide with. There are 5 forms
of abuse: physical, emotional, intellectual, sexual and spiritual.
Abuse, in any of these forms, can be elevated to the point of felony
rape ...but we, as a society, focus on the sexual version and not it's
cousins to our detriment, spreading fear and ignorance.
My point is that filtering out "rape" would preclude a discussion of
emotional rape, or (what seems to get bandied around here) intellectual
rape. Abuse, extreme enough, is philosophically rape, if not legally.
So, better to be thoughtful of how you set your filters for a mail list.
Especially if "skyscrapers" gets tossed because the letters r and a and
p and e are in sequence within another harmless word.

? really, didnt see it, but because you are not a moderator here, read my
mind on what I think of your self appointed net-cop wish, IOW, GGF.
Secondly if Robert dislikes being credited, he should not make such public
statements in the first place, additionally, he could contact me offlist
asking me to remove his name, if he did I would show him respect and
remove his "name" credit, but to date he has failed to do so.

whooop whooop self appointed net cop alert - IOW, go cry to someone who
might give a toss, if your offended that easily, you should never sub to
a mailing list, usenet group, nor to any public web forum either, or maybe
you would prefere me to use the actual words.

I think Karl actually hit on something. Lucid is pretty tight, there
isn't much breakage and the people posting problems get answers and
suggestions in zero time. We're just bored and here is where we hang.
Geeks of a feather flock together. It's not like we're getting paid to
hang around. :) Ric
